Shark Profile
Every Daymond John Investment on Shark Tank, Ranked (2026)
All of Daymond John's on-air Shark Tank deals ranked by size, every company, every check, every equity stake, with links to where each product is today.
He turned $40 of fabric into FUBU, a brand that grew into a $6 billion empire. So when a clothing or branding pitch walks into the Tank, the smart founders are watching one chair. Daymond John knows apparel. He knows licensing. He knows how a logo becomes a business. That instinct shaped his entire Shark Tank run, and the numbers tell the story plainly.
Across the show, Daymond has closed 121 deals and put $21.6 million of his own money on the table. That ranks him fifth among the sharks. His average check comes in at $233K, the smallest typical bet of any main shark. He is not the biggest spender in the room. He is the most precise one.
Fifth place might read like a knock. It is not. Deal count and dollar volume reward the sharks who say yes fast and write fat checks for any category that walks in. Daymond plays a narrower game. He waits for the pitch that sits inside his lane, then he pounces. The lower totals are a byproduct of discipline, not a lack of appetite.
The branding shark, by the numbers
Look at what he actually buys and the pattern jumps out. Fashion and Beauty is his top category at 26 percent. That is the highest fashion concentration of any shark on the panel, and it lines up exactly with the career that made him. Home and Lifestyle follows at 17 percent, then Food and Drink at 14 percent. He stays close to what he understands.
That focus is the whole strategy. Daymond does not chase gadgets or software or whatever happens to be trending. He bets on products he can brand, position, and sell. When a founder needs distribution muscle and a name that moves units, his chair is the one to win.
Stack his top three categories together and you get a clear thesis. Fashion, home goods, and food make up well over half of everything he funds. These are categories where packaging, story, and shelf presence decide who wins. That is exactly the muscle Daymond spent decades building. He is not investing outside his expertise and hoping it works. He is buying into the one fight he already knows how to win.
A go-it-alone investor
Here is the part that separates him from the rest. Of his 121 deals, 83 were solo and only 38 were partnered. That is roughly two solo deals for every shared one. While Mark Cuban splits his bets close to a coin flip, Daymond would rather own the whole position and run his own playbook.
It makes sense. If your edge is branding and licensing, you do not want three other voices in the boardroom diluting the vision. Daymond takes the deal, takes the responsibility, and keeps the control. He also rarely touches royalty structures, with just 8 royalty deals in his entire run. That is Kevin O'Leary's signature move, not his. Daymond wants equity in something he can build, not a few dollars per unit trickling back.
His biggest swing
For a shark known for modest checks, his largest deal is a jaw-dropper. Daymond put $3,000,000 into Moki Doorstep for 100 percent equity. Read that again. He bought the entire company. That is the kind of all-or-nothing move you do not expect from the panel's most disciplined spender, and it shows that when Daymond sees something he truly believes in, he is willing to go further than anyone.
The contrast is the whole point. His average deal is $233K. His biggest was $3 million for the entire business. He is patient and small most of the time, then occasionally bets the house. That is not inconsistency. That is conviction held in reserve until it is worth spending.
What is still on shelves
The real test of any Tank deal is what survives after the cameras stop. A televised handshake is not a business. Years of orders are. Several of Daymond's picks cleared that bar. Qubits, Wurkin Stiffs, Hillbilly Brand, and Buggy Beds are all still selling, which means the deals did more than make good television. They made companies that lasted.
Not every Daymond deal worked out, of course. The show does not air the quiet collapses or the agreements that die in due diligence. But a portfolio built on brands you can actually move, funded by a guy who built one of the most recognizable apparel labels in America, was always going to age better than most. The number that defines him is not the deal count or the dollar total. It is that $233K average sitting next to a $3 million full buyout. Daymond John spends carefully, until the moment he decides not to.
