Is Pearachute Still in Business? (2026 Update)
Is Pearachute from Shark Tank still around in 2026? The deal it made, the sharks who invested, and where to buy Pearachute today.
One subscription that unlocks swim lessons, music classes, gymnastics, and dozens of other kid activities around town? Pearachute pitched exactly that kind of flexible pass for busy parents. It is a tidy idea, which is why so many people still ask whether they can sign up today.
The Short Answer
No, Pearachute is no longer in business. The company closed down in 2022.
Its website no longer leads to a working service, so there is no active Pearachute subscription to buy in 2026. The brand had a real run, but it eventually wound down.
The Pitch and the Deal
Founder Desiree Vargas Wrigley brought Pearachute to Season 9, Episode 7, asking for $500,000 in exchange for 6% of the company. The pitch centered on a subscription that let parents book children's classes across many providers without committing to a single studio.
Mark Cuban made a deal on air at $500,000 for 15% equity. As is common with Shark Tank, the agreement did not survive due diligence, reportedly because of concerns about how early-stage the business still was, and it ultimately fell through.
Where It Was
Even without the Cuban deal, Pearachute had a strong burst of momentum. Sign-ups spiked dramatically the day after the episode aired, and the company expanded into several new cities including Dallas, Kansas City, San Francisco, and Washington while raising a few million dollars in venture funding.
That growth, however, did not turn into a lasting business, and Pearachute closed its doors in 2022. The founder moved on to a leadership role at an innovation organization, putting her experience to work elsewhere.
Since the service has shut down, there is nothing to subscribe to now. Parents looking for flexible kid-activity passes will need to check what is offered locally, as the original Pearachute marketplace is gone.
The Bottom Line
Pearachute caught a real wave of interest after Shark Tank and grew quickly, but the deal fell through and the company eventually closed in 2022. It is a reminder that early traction does not always translate into a durable business.
If you remembered Pearachute fondly, the concept lives on in spirit, but the service itself is no longer available.
