FlexScreen is a window screen that bends. Traditional aluminum-frame screens dent, bow, and pop out of the track, but FlexScreen uses a flexible spring-steel frame that can flex into place and snap back to shape. The product was invented by Joe Altieri, a window-industry veteran from Pennsylvania who spent years working in the field before designing what is billed as the world's first flexible window screen.

Altieri came into Season 11 asking for 800,000 dollars for 6 percent, a high valuation that drew skepticism from several sharks. His live demonstration of bending the screen and reinserting it won over Lori Greiner, who saw both the practical appeal and the retail potential. They settled on a deal of 400,000 dollars in cash plus a 400,000-dollar line of credit in exchange for equity in a retail-focused venture built around the product.

The pitch stood out because the demo did the selling. Window screens are an unglamorous category, but a screen you can twist and pop back into place is genuinely different, and Altieri's hands-on presentation made the benefit obvious. Lori, known for retail and as-seen-on-TV products, was a natural partner to push a niche building product toward a wider consumer audience.

Following the show, FlexScreen leaned into both consumer sales and partnerships across the window and door industry, and the company has returned to Shark Tank for multiple update segments tied to Lori Greiner. The brand grew well beyond a single inventor's idea, building manufacturing scale and distribution relationships in the fenestration market.

In 2025 FlexScreen was acquired by The RiteScreen Company, and the combined operation continues under the FlexScreen and RiteScreen names. Public statements around the merger describe a business operating at significant scale in the window-screen sector. The flexible screen remains available, and the company is still active as of 2026.
