The Caulking Finger

Inventor Daniel Stephenson developed the tool after years of painting and caulking work. Its shape and flexibility are intended to reproduce fingertip smoothing while keeping the user’s skin away from rough surfaces and excess caulk.

The manufacturer’s instructions start with applying caulk using a caulk gun, then drawing the tool along the joint with gentle pressure. Wiping the tool with a damp cloth or sponge during the job removes excess material. It is a finishing tool, so it does not replace the caulk or the gun used to apply it.
