Everything to know about Ball 2
Ball 2 combines a sensor-equipped foam ball with a phone or tablet app. Throwing, rolling and shaking the ball become game inputs, while the app provides the feedback. The ball itself has no speaker or lights, according to the manufacturer's FAQ.
The official store separates Ball 2 from Ball 2 + AI. Both play community games. Ball 2 + AI includes 50 game-creation credits for making custom games through Game Maker; the base Ball 2 package includes no creation credits. Two-ball bundles are also available for shared or competitive play. Choose the package by how you want to use it, rather than assuming AI credits are needed for every game.
You need your own compatible phone or tablet to play. The FAQ currently specifies iOS 17 or later and Android 13 or later. Existing community games and games already created can be played without an active internet connection; using Game Maker to create games requires internet access.
